Reagan Gagnon, MS PA-C, CAQ-Psychiatry, BSN

My practice is named after two of my beloved dogs, Sophie and Loe. I found out long after I named them that Sophie means wisdom and Loe means love. My practice is intended to honor Sophie and Loe by helping patients attune to their own wisdom and multiply the love in their lives.

I have been a certified PA for well over a decade, caring for complex critically and chronically ill patients. I have worked in a variety of settings: emergency department, outpatient, acute rehab and long-term care. I bring this medical fund of knowledge to the practice of psychiatry. I have additional certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) in the practice of psychiatry and am dedicated to applying evidence-based solutions tailored to the particularities of you.

I am also a fellow human who has been on a winding path of learning for decades. My path to medicine has been anything but linear, and my life experience is not gilded. My practice reflects my core conviction that human flourishing, while challenging, is entirely possible. While well-being does not come in pill form, the conscientious, mindful use of medications can profoundly improve your quality of life.

I have trained extensively in disciplines outside of mainstream medicine that deeply inform my approach to patient care. I completed teacher training in Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga twenty years ago, trained in massage therapy with a deep reverence for the human body, and am a long-time meditator with over 600 hours logged. Over the past five years, I have also spent hundreds of hours training in psychedelic-assisted therapy and shamanic traditions, as well as hospice and palliative care.

I took most of the photos on this website on cherished dog walks and outdoor adventures.

My Clinical Scope & Competence

My decade-long background in emergency medicine and acute care means I am deeply familiar with the entire spectrum of medical and psychiatric distress. I have evaluated, stabilized, and cared for individuals facing acute crises, severe chronic illness, and complex cognitive impairments.

Today, my private practice is intentionally structured as a supportive outpatient sanctuary. I partner with individuals who may be navigating functional challenges but are stable enough to engage in collaborative, mindful healing. My areas of focus include:

  • Mood & Trauma Support: Depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and bipolar affective disorder.

  • Cognitive & Vitality Patterns: ADHD, disordered sleep, and smoking cessation.

  • The Mind-Body Dynamic: Navigating the complex emotional and psychospiritual impact of living with chronic physical conditions, illness, or somatic distress.

Practice Boundaries: To ensure the highest standard of clinical safety, my solo practice is not equipped to treat active anorexia or bulimia. Additionally, while I am not an addiction specialist, I evaluate individuals navigating unhealthy relationships with substances on a thoughtful, case-by-case basis. If you are unsure if we are a clinical match, please reach out.
